Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support the development of OSHA policies and programs Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery, etc.) Advise on Occupational diseases Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation Review and update Safety Manual according to Parent Company guidelines, regulations and instructions Initiate and organize OSHA training for employees and executives Initiate and organize ISO 14000 ISO 45001 certification process Train, conduct and maintain Safety Audits in the Plant to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment) Manage disposal of hazardous materials as per EPA standards Stop unsafe actions, practices or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle workers' compensation claims Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management Escort visitors, including third-party inspectors Conduct environmental assessment tests according to ISO 14000 and EPA regulations (such as waste management) Prepare and update incident treatment plan, perform routine drills Ensure third-party safety well-being and organize safety inspections and supervision Implement all safety requirements and restrictions mandated by Parent Company Prepare, implement and maintain Lock out Tag out policy Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies Safety oriented mindset Excellent problem solve Personal EffectivenessCredibility Training skills Collaboration and Communication Skills Work Environment Manual assembly shop with process equipment specified in work instructions Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, kneeling, reaching Be prepared for occasional business trip travels (Domestic and International) Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED General understanding of ISO 14000, ISO 45001, OSHA and EPA regulations Familiarity with Incident recording and reporting to OSHA 3-5 years of Safety compliance experience within manufacturing industry Preferred Education and Experience 8-10 years of Safety compliance experience within Heavy equipment manufacturing industry or Related training combined with 5-7 years of Safety compliance experience Experience with high voltage electric lines, Arc Flash or NFPA 70 E certification Experience with Workersrsquo compensation Training on HAZMAT
