FIELD OPERATIONS ACCOUNTANT Lot s of growth and upside!
We are seeking a degreed accountant with at least 2 years of oil and gas accounting experience to join a fast growing oil and gas company. This position would be located in the Pennsylvania office, with some travel to other locations.
The Operations Accountant will be responsible for supporting oil and gas accounting for the operating company, including support for financial reporting, assistance in processing accounts payables, vendor support, drilling program support, monitoring and preparation of key operational metrics, and execution of internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FIELD OPERATIONS ACCOUNTANT:
Obtain information from internal and external sources to record transactions in accounting systems and general ledger
Ensure invoices are entered, posted, and corrected prior to end of month
Enter and code invoices for all field operations
Identify, investigate, and drive resolution of issues
Prepare management reports over key performance indicators and trends
Ensure Capex guidelines are consistently and properly applied
Ensure timely initiation and creation of all AFE types in line with drilling schedules and upcoming projects
Preparation and maintenance of AFEs and status reporting
Assist in preparation of key month-end close schedules
Execute various general accounting functions such as journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare analytical review schedules
Support projects as needed and assist field and accounting operations as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE FIELD OPERATIONS ACCOUNTANT:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Relevant business experience of 2+ years with a major accounting/consulting firm and/or operating company (oil & gas)
Enertia experience a plus
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
