Unit Description

Sodexo is hiring an experienced?Environmental Services Operations Manager 2?for Rapides Regional Medical Center in beautiful?Alexandria, Louisiana. This 350 bed acute care hospital is located just 2 hours from Shreveport and 3 hours from New Orleans.? It's a short drive to New Orleans, Houston, Dallas and beaches along the Gulf of Mexico.? Charming area and growth opportunity for the successful candidate in the heart of the south!


This Operations Manager will have responsibility for up to 70 frontline employees, a mix of hospital and Sodexo paid employees.?Will oversee cleanliness of the entire hospital including an attached Women's Hospital, NICU, a Level 2 trauma center, and 14 MOB's. Sodexo also manages groundskeeping responsibilities.


Our ideal candidate will have prior Environmental Services management experience with exceptional interpersonal and technical skills.?

Must be able to drive HCAHPS results to a high level and understand ENGAGE patient satisfaction process. Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Prior Sodexo experience is a plus.

Position Summary

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services exempt and non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Environmental Service programs are in place and functioning according to design to consistently meet all company, client and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory and maintenance.

-Assumes GM responsibilities and authority in his or her absence

-Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring compliance to operating standards.

-Ensures compliance with application of all Sodexo Quality Assurance and Regulatory standards within the contractually agreed upon scope of services.

-Establish and/or adhere to defined operating standards, develops and implements quality improvements and ensures direct reports and staff adhere to the standards and expectations.

-Assists with Management of Environmental Service budget by ensuring full compliance to established operating standards, monitoring costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, and material), and taking corrective action as needed.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement -?Associate's DegreeBasic Management Experience - 2 yearsBasic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services
