Oilgear designs and manufactures a wide variety of custom products and full turnkey electro-hydraulic solutions in various fields such as metal working, energy, and mobile applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design of equipment such as hydraulic manifolds, reservoirs, weldments, integrated sub-assemblies, and complete systems assemblies.
  • Design of selected mechanical structures and assemblies associated with Hydraulic Systems
  • Design of hydraulic system layouts and piping/tubing configurations
  • Design hydraulic circuits
  • Selection of hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, accumulators, heat exchangers, motors, etc.
  • Sizing calculations for hydraulic equipment
  • Purchasing based on technical, quality and delivery requirements as well as applicable sub-contracting services required for assigned projects,
  • In-House and Third party providers follow-up,
  • Project execution planning
  • Cost control according to budget and profitability objectives
  • Regular meetings and exchanges with customers throughout projects for the purpose of:
  • Develop and document Functional Specifications and Scope of Supply with the customer
  • Organize and document Project Kick-Off Meetings and regular Project Reviews
  • Participate in selected System Field Installation and Start-Up Commissioning
  • Requirements:

  • Proficient in the use of Solidworks, Excel, and Word. Experience with Autocad (2D) and PDMworks is desirable.
  • 0-10 years of work experience in mechanical engineering or machine design, preferably custom design of large machinery
  • Experience with weldments, hydraulics, manifolds, and/or pumps/ pump systems is desirable but not necessary.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Able to work independently, and as part of a team
  • Some travel (5-10%) is required. Travel will be mainly domestic.
