Description The Project Manager will support the Kitty Hawk Project Director in all work associated with the development and permitting of the Kitty Hawk wind energy area into a number of large-scale offshore wind energy projects and to take lead responsibility where directed for specific aspects of the projects. APM responsibilities span from project identification and inception to the end of the formal permitting process through to construction, legal implementation and compliance with project obligations. The individual will be working as part of a global business with current activities across Europe and the United States. The position will require travel to various locations, predominantly within the US. Responsibilities include:
* Take the lead on/manage tasks and provide general support as directed by the Kitty Hawk Project Director during all stages of the project cycle * Liaise and coordinate with multiple consultants and contractors delivering packages of work or specialized/expert support/advice to the project development team * Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities as directed and ensure all communications are appropriately managed, recorded and filed * Provide input to all commercial agreements and contracts to ensure project risks are mitigated, liaise closely with Procurement, Legal and other functions as required * Liaise closely with internal and external GIS support * Contribute to the identification and management of risks, issues and impacts to the projects. * Ensure appropriate preparation and filing of project documents. * Ensure high levels of quality control throughout. * Ensure that work scopes run on time and within budget. * Ensure that the projects maintain high levels of health and safety standards.
* 3 years' experience within a multi-disciplinary project development environment and / or * 3 years' experience in developing onshore/offshore wind projects. (The company may consider candidates with less experience at the Associate level) * Ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Excellent report writing and presentation skill that include proficiency in MS Office products. * Excellent personal organization and time management skills. * High degree of self-motivation with a flexible approach to work. * Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. * Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing working environment and demonstrate a positive approach to change, with an ability to demonstrate/encourage this approach within a team.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following: * Experience of wind energy development, particularly offshore
